Update v1.4
New Enemy
Now there is a big enemy, the Big Red Ball of Death.
It will spawn in the sky and slowly going in your way.
Shoot it to survive but you have limited ammunition!
Hiding behind walls WILL NOT protect you from the big red ball, it will pass by all the walls! You can run but can't hide.
If the big red ball colide with you, the game is instantly over. If your live reach 0, the game is over too.
When the Big Red Ball of Death is losing life, it will bright less, there is no indication about it life. When ball is dead, you win the game - a nice You Win screen will appear! It is the objective for now.
HUD
Now you have a HUD too, the red bar is for your life and numbers bellow are ammunition.
You can pickup more ammunition that maybe got over 100; but your live will keep on 100.
You can test receive damage on red cube, pickup more ammunition from blue cube, and pickup more live from gloom green cube.
Put that way just basic concepts of gameplay that I'm working on for now and will be replaced by better models later.
New Commands
Now you can run! Press shift to sprint.
The jump is higher too.
Bug Fixes
Collision problems with buildinds are major solved. There is a rare glitch with mouse not working, please comment if it happens to you, what your mouse model and specs of your machine.
New Interiors
There is a new door with long corridors, a proof of concept about interiors. Will be expanded on future upgrades, I want to hide secret passages and create some house and building interiors too.
Road Map for now, I have plans to:
- Add more enemies, weak ones, that will be walking around the map searching for you, with guns and animations; Killing them will expand a Score system!
- The new enemies will have some animations, I was working on it and making progress.
- Put some guns on Red Big Ball of Death to shoot you!
- Put more doors to explore, some ones with keys that need to be found around the map.
- Put more pickups of lives, ammo and places that if you walk on you will loose lives!
- Expand the map. There is a plan to create a place like a prison, that you need to invade to steal more ammo for your fight against the big red ball but will be some guards to stop you, so you need to measure if it is a good idea.
- More puzzle-like mechanics, like big gates, elevators and more.
- Put more utility for the night, maybe setting it as a day/night cycle all the time and at night the big red ball will be just black and invisible. Maybe different enemies that walks around the night.
- Create some kind of point, a cross to better shooting.
- Create game modes: You start on a place, choose a door and you maybe or maybe not have enemies, to explore the map and just walk around. Another idea is create a horror mode, with jumpscares around the map and something to do with the lantern.
- Put some animation for the big red ball exploding! Give it a nice ending.
- Maybe create some cutscenes?
- Create some funny cheats? Codes that will give yah infinite ammo or even infinite lives, and maybe a cheat to just "no enemies" on the map!
For now that's all folks, ideas and sugestions are wellcome.
